Dear Walmart: Why Don’t You Sell Sugar-Free Chocolates on Valentine’s Day?

An estimated 285 million people, corresponding to 6.4% of the world’s adult population, will live with diabetes in 2010.

70% of the current cases of diabetes occur in low- and middle income countries. With an estimated 50.8 million people living with diabetes, India has the world’s largest diabetes population, followed by China with 43.2 million.

Sooo…why the hell can’t I buy a Heart-Shaped Sugar-Free Box of Chocolates for my diabetic step son at Walmart? Or Target? Or Publix? Or anywhere for that matter.

Why doesn’t Walmart or any of these mega-retailers stock ANYTHING sugar-free in the Valentine’s aisle?
Don’t you realize that there are diabetic children that would like to feel semi-normal on Valentine’s Day?
Mine sure would.

So get off your capitalist asses and put some pressure on Russell Stover and Hersheys.

Thanks in advance.
